Thousands of items are left every year at wall by family members, friends, and fellow servicemen. There is an exhibit in the Smithsonian Museaum of American History with many items that were left at the wall. Unfortunately, that museum was closed during this trip. Every day, the National Park Service collects these items for preservation. |
